The Odisha government
has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the Indian Business &
Professional Council (IBPC) to strengthen business and investment linkages
between Odisha and the UAE.
The MoC was signed
during a business interaction with Dubai-based investment funds and members of
the Indian business community, in which Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan
Majhi invited UAE-based Indian businesses and professionals to explore
investment opportunities in the state.
Majhi highlighted the
significant role of the Indian business community in deepening economic
linkages between the UAE and Odisha and showcased the state's expanding
industrial ecosystem and investment potential.
He underlined
opportunities across a range of sectors, including green energy, green
hydrogen, minerals, mining, aluminium downstream, recycling, logistics and
other emerging industries.
The MoC with IBPC is aimed at strengthening the UAE-based Indian business network and facilitating investment, partnerships and market linkages for Odisha, the state government said.
The engagement marks another step towards building a stronger and sustained business bridge between Odisha and the UAE, while creating avenues for greater participation by the Indian business and professional community in the state's industrial and economic growth.
