In a major boost to Odisha’s industrialisation drive, the state government on Saturday approved 24 investment proposals worth ₹3,793.33 crore that are expected to create 19,924 employment opportunities across multiple sectors and districts.

The proposals received clearance at the 147th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The approvals reaffirm Odisha’s growing appeal as an investment destination and reflect the government’s commitment to accelerating industrial growth, employment generation and economic diversification.

The projects span a broad spectrum of sectors, including steel and metal downstream industries, renewable energy, advanced materials, electronics and EV components, textiles and apparel, tourism and hospitality, logistics and infrastructure, food processing, consumer products, chemicals and emerging technologies. The investments will be spread across 14 districts — Khordha, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Balangir, Puri, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur and Mayurbhanj.

Among the marquee projects in the energy and advanced manufacturing segment, CESC Green Power Limited will invest ₹683.83 crore to establish a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility in Dhenkanal, generating 153 jobs. AVP Star Private Limited will set up a state-of-the-art lab-grown diamond manufacturing unit in Khordha with an investment of ₹500 crore, creating 500 employment opportunities.

The textiles and apparel sector emerged as a major job creator. Nandraj Textiles Private Limited will establish an apparel manufacturing unit in Khordha with an investment of ₹168.64 crore, generating 10,306 jobs — the highest among all approved projects. Shahi Exports Private Limited will invest ₹145.50 crore in a knitted garments manufacturing unit in Sambalpur, creating 1,840 jobs, while Maa Taratarini Textile Park Private Limited will develop an integrated textile project in Ganjam with an investment of ₹70 crore, generating 350 jobs.

The tourism and hospitality sector also witnessed significant investment commitments. Projects approved include Swosti Premium Limited in Koraput with an investment of ₹250 crore and 480 jobs, SNM Hotels and Resorts Private Limited in Koraput with ₹133.34 crore and 173 jobs, Sri Eco Resorts in Keonjhar with ₹105.60 crore and 240 jobs, Sailabala Infrastructure Private Limited in Puri with ₹92.80 crore and 170 jobs, Suryo Udyog Limited in Jagatsinghpur with ₹70 crore and 240 jobs, Pratyaksh Hotel and Resorts Private Limited in Koraput with ₹70 crore and 170 jobs, Leharsh Exports and Services Private Limited in Sundargarh with ₹60 crore and 200 jobs, and Prachi Enterprises in Mayurbhanj with ₹52 crore and 150 jobs.

In the steel and industrial manufacturing sector, JSW Severfields Structures Limited will invest ₹215 crore to establish a steel fabrication unit in Jajpur, creating 1,400 jobs. Koshal Ceramics Private Limited will expand its refractory manufacturing facility in Jharsuguda with an investment of ₹275.07 crore and generate 1,000 jobs. Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited will establish a steel products manufacturing unit in Sundargarh with an investment of ₹81 crore, creating 500 jobs, while Bishnu Steel will set up a stainless-steel pipe manufacturing unit in Khordha with an investment of ₹51.83 crore.

The logistics and infrastructure segment saw approvals for M.S. Infraengineers Private Limited’s warehousing-cum-logistics park in Sambalpur with an investment of ₹112.52 crore and 500 jobs, and Inex Eco Logistics’ logistics infrastructure project in Balangir with an investment of ₹103.20 crore, creating 225 jobs.

In consumer products, food processing and emerging sectors, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited will expand its beverage manufacturing unit in Khordha with an investment of ₹300 crore, generating 990 jobs. Jai Bhawani Foods Private Limited will establish a bar soap manufacturing unit in Cuttack with an investment of ₹92 crore and 300 jobs. Lithros Batteries India Private Limited will set up an EV and battery manufacturing facility in Khordha with an investment of ₹60 crore and 350 jobs. Jaasper Eco Products Private Limited will establish a corrugated box manufacturing unit in Khordha, while Ekansh Agro Food Products Private Limited will invest ₹50 crore in a food processing facility, creating 370 jobs.

The latest approvals underscore Odisha’s strategic focus on attracting high-value investments, strengthening industrial ecosystems, fostering regional development and generating large-scale employment opportunities across the state.
