Dreams turned into reality as Odisha’s gifted singer Jyotirmayee Nayak was crowned the winner of Indian Idol Season 16, bringing the curtains down on the blockbuster singing reality show with a glittering grand finale packed with music, emotions, and unforgettable performances.

Jyotirmayee clinched the coveted Indian Idol 16 trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh, capping off an extraordinary journey that captured the hearts of millions across the country. Her inspiring rise from the audition stage to becoming the nation’s newest singing sensation stood as a testament to her remarkable talent, unwavering determination, and perseverance.

The finale also celebrated the achievements of fellow contestants, with Tanishk Shukla and Manraj Veer Singh finishing as the runners-up. Manraj was awarded Rs 5 lakh for his impressive performance throughout the competition. Earlier in the finale, finalists Anshika Chonkar and Suhail Sufi were eliminated and received Rs 3 lakh each, while Myscmme Bosu bid farewell to the competition after the Spotlight Round.

The grand finale transformed into a spectacular musical extravaganza as some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry lit up the stage. Legendary playback singer Kumar Sanu, music icon Usha Uthup, rapper and judge Badshah, actress Shehnaaz Gill, Bollywood star Urmila Matondkar, and celebrated singers Shreya Ghoshal and Papon enthralled viewers with power-packed performances, making the evening a memorable celebration of music.

Hosted by Aditya Narayan, the season featured a distinguished judging panel comprising Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, and Badshah. Carrying the nostalgic theme “Yaadon Ki Playlist,” Indian Idol Season 16 aired from October 2025 to July 2026, earning the distinction of becoming the longest season in the history of the franchise.
