At a time when global
energy markets are experiencing volatility, ensuring uninterrupted access to
essential fuels for Indian households remains a national priority.
In this context,
Reliance Industries Ltd. has announced proactive measures to enhance domestic
fuel availability by maximizing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production at its
large-scale refining and petrochemical facilities in Jamnagar, Gujarat — widely
recognised as the world’s largest integrated refining hub. The move aligns with
Government of India guidelines aimed at safeguarding the country’s energy
security during uncertain global market conditions.
According to a media
statement issued on Tuesday, the company said its teams are working around the
clock to optimize refinery operations and boost LPG output so that supplies to
the domestic market remain stable and reliable. The initiative is intended to
ensure that essential cooking fuel continues to reach millions of households
across the country without disruption.
Reliance further
stated that natural gas produced from the KG-D6 Basin in the Krishna-Godavari
offshore region will also be diverted to support supply to priority sectors.
This allocation will be carried out in accordance with national energy
priorities and the guidelines issued by the Government.
Highlighting its
commitment to the nation’s energy needs, the company said that India’s energy
security and the well-being of millions of families remain its foremost
priority. It added that the company will continue to work closely with the
Government of India and remain fully compliant with all national guidelines and
allocation priorities to ensure that energy supplies reach the sectors and
communities that need them the most.
The company also
reiterated its long-standing commitment to stand with the nation during challenging
times. In the face of global uncertainty in energy markets, Reliance said it
remains focused on supporting India’s energy security and ensuring reliable
access to essential fuels for the country.
