Team Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority emerged as the Overall Champion as the 25th All India Major Port Cultural Meet 2025–26 concluded on a high note on Sunday evening at Jayadev Sadan, Paradip Port, after four days of vibrant cultural celebrations marked by colour, creativity and camaraderie.

Organised by the Paradip Port Authority in association with the Major Ports Sports Control Board, the prestigious national-level cultural meet brought together around 200 talented artistes from nine major ports across the country. Mumbai Port Authority secured the runners-up position, while Deendayal Port Authority and Cochin Port Authority were adjudged joint second runners-up, making the competition both intense and inspiring.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by P. L. Haranadh, Chairman, Paradip Port Authority, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, Haranadh lauded the participants for their captivating performances that enthralled audiences throughout the four-day event. He especially appreciated the unprecedented participation of women artistes this year, noting that their dedication, discipline and artistic excellence had set a new benchmark for future editions of the cultural meet.

Artistes from the host Paradip Port Authority also left a strong impression with their commendable performances across categories. Swarnalata Tripathy received the award for Best Supporting Artiste (Female) for her portrayal of the character Malati, while Paradip Port Authority teams won accolades in Drama for “Manu” by Bikaram Parida, Light Music by Harshita Mohapatra, and various dance categories, drawing loud applause from the audience.

The programme was presided over by H. S. Rout, Chairman of the PPA Cultural Organising Committee. Several senior officials and dignitaries, including A. K. Bose, Advisor (Traffic), Paradip Port Authority, Ashoka Kumar Sahu, Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee, Dr. D. P. Sethi, Secretary, and the Joint Secretary of the Organising Committee, were present during the closing ceremony, underscoring the significance of the event.
