Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Jaguar TCS Racing have extended their multi-year title partnership, expanding their collaboration as the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship prepares to enter its high-performance GEN4 era.

Under the renewed agreement, TCS will become Jaguar TCS Racing’s Official AI Partner, strengthening its role in the team’s racing operations, engineering and technology strategy. The partnership will explore how artificial intelligence can improve efficiency, accelerate decision-making and generate insights that could contribute to the development of next-generation Jaguar electric vehicles.

The announcement builds on five years of collaboration between the technology major and the Formula E team. During that period, Jaguar TCS Racing secured the 2024 and 2026 ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championships, while recording more wins and podiums than any other team during the GEN3 Evo era.

The partnership has also focused heavily on technology-driven performance. TCS and Jaguar TCS Racing have deployed cloud computing and digital twin technologies to support race engineering and advance the electrification journey from motorsport to road cars.

At the centre of these efforts is TCS’s Virtual Vehicle Validation Model (V3M), which enables engineers to validate software changes and conduct continuous simulations. The capability allows the team to assess changes rapidly and make informed decisions in the highly time-sensitive environment of Formula E.

Abhinav Kumar, Global Chief Marketing Officer, TCS, said the renewed partnership would build on the momentum of the team’s latest championship success.

“With this renewal, we will further harness AI and advanced technologies to unlock new performance opportunities to help Jaguar TCS Racing compete for more podiums and championship wins,” he said.

Chris Thorp, Chairman of JLR Motorsport, which operates Jaguar TCS Racing, said the partnership had helped the team push the boundaries of performance, efficiency and innovation.

“As the Championship enters the GEN4 era, this collaboration helps us drive the future of all-electric motorsport while informing the next generation of Jaguar cars,” he said.

The partnership will also continue its focus on education and sustainability. Through TCS’ Ignite My Future (IMF) initiative, nearly 30,000 students across 16 countries have explored real-world applications of racing data, design and strategy since 2023. Hundreds more have participated in at-track experiences at Formula E E-Prix events worldwide.

The expanded agreement also reinforces TCS’ long-standing relationship with JLR and its wider commitment to the UK, where the company has maintained a presence for 50 years. TCS works with more than 200 leading UK brands and announced plans earlier this year to create 5,000 new jobs across the UK over the next three years.
