“The
Constitution is not just a document, but a resolution of duty and
responsibility,” said Member of Parliament and Chairman of Jindal Steel, Naveen
Jindal, as Jindal Steel’s operations across Odisha celebrated the 77th Republic
Day with patriotic fervour and deep respect for constitutional values.
Extending
his greetings to the nation on the occasion, Jindal, in a special message
shared on social media, underlined the enduring relevance of the Constitution
in strengthening India’s democratic foundation. He said that 26th January
reminds every citizen that the Constitution is a commitment to equality,
freedom, and responsibility.
“It grants us our rights while also reminding
us of our duties towards the nation. As we proudly hoist the Tricolour, it is
vital to embrace the values it represents — democracy, unity, and dedication to
our country. On this Republic Day, let us all pledge to contribute to the
nation’s growth as responsible citizens and uphold the honour of our Tricolour
at all times,” he said.
The 77th
Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across Jindal Steel’s operations,
including the Barbil Pellet Plant, Kasia Iron & Dolomite Mines, Roida-I
Mines, and Tensa Mines, bringing together employees, families, and members of
the local community.
At the
Barbil Pellet Plant and Kasia Iron & Dolomite Mines, the National Flag was
unfurled by Pankaj Malhan, Executive Director, Jindal Steel. Addressing the
gathering, Malhan urged employees to uphold the dignity of the nation and
respect the Constitution. He highlighted Jindal Steel’s consistent contribution
to India’s growth and emphasized that sustainable development remains a key
pillar of nation-building.
Malhan
further stated that under the visionary leadership of Naveen Jindal and
Chairperson of the Jindal Foundation, Shallu Jindal, the Foundation has
transformed the lives of over 1.5 crore people in surrounding villages through
its wide-ranging social development initiatives.
The
celebrations witnessed active participation from hundreds of villagers and
social workers from nearby areas. Senior leadership members present included Pramod
Kumar Patra, Cluster Head – BKTR; Satish Sinduria, Unit Head, Barbil Pellet
Plant; and Bipin Bihari Pradhan, Head – HR & ES, BKTR, along with other
senior officials, employees, and their families, reflecting the strong
partnership between the company and the community.
Similarly,
at TRB Mines, Tensa, the National Flag was unfurled by Bharadwaj Rout, Mines
Manager. Senior officials, employees, workers, their families, and nearby
villagers actively participated, making the celebration vibrant and
community-centric.
To mark the
occasion, cultural programmes were organised across all units, with employees
and their family members showcasing their patriotic spirit through enthusiastic
performances, adding colour and pride to the Republic Day celebrations.
