In a significant boost for Indian gymnastics, three athletes
from the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre (Odisha AM/NS
GHPC) have been selected to represent the country at the Commonwealth Games
2026, scheduled to be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 2,
2026.
Among the eight athletes selected in the artistic gymnastics
contingent, Tapan Mohanty, Tapeswaranath Das, and Olympian Pranati Nayak are
products of the Odisha AM/NS GHPC, underlining the centre's growing stature as
one of India's premier gymnastics training hubs.
Tapan Mohanty and Tapeswaranath Das have been named in
India's Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) team, while Olympian Pranati Nayak will
represent the country in the Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) category.
The selection of three athletes from a single
high-performance centre reflects the success of the Odisha AM/NS GHPC's
world-class training ecosystem and its commitment to developing elite gymnasts
capable of excelling on the international stage.

The Odisha AM/NS GHPC has consistently produced impressive performances at both national and international competitions. Its athletes have secured notable results at prestigious events, including the International Continental Cup 2026 in Lisbon, the Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championship 2025, the FIG World Cup 2025 in Antalya, Turkey, and the Artistic Gymnastics National Championships 2025–2026.
The latest Commonwealth Games selections further reinforce the centre's reputation for producing top-class gymnasts and strengthening India's aspirations of making a lasting impact on the global gymnastics stage.
