TP Central Odisha
Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the
Government of Odisha, has commissioned a new 33 kV Machipada–Odagaon feeder
through Sarankul Power Sub-Station (PSS), marking a significant step towards
strengthening the power distribution network and enhancing supply reliability
across Nayagarh district.
The 21 CKM feeder was
commissioned in the presence of Madhumita Rath, Collector and District
Magistrate, Nayagarh, as part of TPCODL’s ongoing network augmentation
initiatives under the Comprehensive Network Development Programme (CMPDP).
The newly
commissioned infrastructure is expected to benefit around 50,000 consumers in
the region by augmenting network capacity, improving system resilience and
supporting a more reliable and dependable electricity supply.
Commenting on the development, Gajanan S. Kale, CEO, TPCODL, said, “The Machipada–Odagaon feeder strengthens the power infrastructure and supply reliability in Nayagarh. We appreciate the district administration’s support and will continue to work closely with local stakeholders to accelerate network development and deliver reliable power to our consumers.”
The project also underscores TPCODL’s focus on strengthening coordination with district administrations and local stakeholders to facilitate critical power infrastructure projects. Such collaboration includes support for utility corridors and right-of-way requirements, which are essential for timely execution of network development works.
