TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has been conferred with the prestigious AIDA Gold Award for “Improved Revenue Recovery in a Rural Area” at EDICON 2026, held in New Delhi, marking a significant milestone in its journey of strengthening rural power distribution in Central Odisha.

The recognition highlights TPCODL’s sustained and structured efforts to enhance operational efficiency, improve consumer engagement, and drive financial sustainability in rural electricity distribution. The award was presented by Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, during the maiden annual conference of the All-India Discoms Association (AIDA). It acknowledges the utility’s focused approach centred on operational discipline, technology adoption, and community-driven reforms that have translated into improved service delivery and revenue recovery at the grassroots level.

Commenting on the achievement, TPCODL CEO Arvind Singh said, “This Award from AIDA reflects the commitment of our teams working across rural Central Odisha. Through operational discipline, technology adoption and active consumer engagement, we are strengthening power distribution while ensuring reliable and sustainable electricity services for our communities,”

The AIDA Awards witnessed robust participation from 29 DISCOMs across the country, with 78 nominations assessed by an independent jury comprising industry experts. Power utilities from both the public and private sectors were recognised across multiple categories for their contributions to sectoral improvement and innovation.

Organised over two days, EDICON 2026 served as a key platform for policymakers, regulators, and power sector leaders to deliberate on critical issues including DISCOM viability, effective utilisation of smart meter data, renewable energy integration, and enhancement of electricity supply quality and reliability.

This national recognition further reinforces TPCODL’s role as a catalyst for reliable, efficient, and sustainable electricity services in rural Central Odisha, underscoring its contribution to inclusive growth and long-term regional development.
