TP Northern Odisha Distribution
Limited (TPNODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of
Odisha, has announced the appointment of Dushyant Kumar Tyagi as its new Chief
Executive Officer (CEO), marking a significant leadership transition for the utility
serving millions of consumers across northern Odisha.
A seasoned power sector professional
with more than three decades of experience in electricity distribution, Tyagi
has held several key leadership positions in some of India’s leading power
utilities. An alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering, he also holds a
postgraduate degree in management from IMI Delhi.
Before assuming his new role, Tyagi
served in various leadership capacities across TPCODL, Tata Power DDL and
TPNODL, overseeing a wide range of functions including operations services,
commercial management, corporate social responsibility, network engineering and
inventory management.
Speaking on his appointment, Tyagi
said, “TPNODL is committed to delivering quality and reliable electricity
services to consumers. By leveraging advanced technology and innovative
management practices, our goal is to continuously enhance customer experience
and achieve operational excellence in the region.”
Tyagi succeeds Gajanan Kale, who has
been transferred as CEO of TPCODL and Chief of the Odisha Distribution
Business.
TPNODL currently caters to nearly 9.7 million people through around 19.86 lakh registered consumers spread across the districts of Baleswar, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Jajpur. The utility operates across a vast service area of 27,920 square kilometres and has been playing a pivotal role in strengthening power distribution infrastructure, improving service reliability and enhancing customer-centric operations in the region.
With Tyagi at the helm, TPNODL is expected to further accelerate its efforts towards operational efficiency, technological innovation and sustainable growth, reinforcing its commitment to providing reliable and quality power supply to consumers across northern Odisha.
