Globally acclaimed
sand sculptor Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a 25-foot-long sand-art
installation on Puri Beach to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on
September 17, with the artwork celebrating the theme “25 Years of Seva to the
Nation.”
Titled “Aashirwad Ka
Diya – 25 Years of Seva – Happy Birthday Modi Ji,” the installation features
2,500 diyas, creating a striking visual display on the beach. The artwork
combines the themes of light, blessings and goodwill with a numerical symbolism
linking 25 years of public service with 2,500 diyas.
Pattnaik said the 25-foot-long installation represents the theme of 25 years of public service, while the thousands of diyas symbolise the prayers, blessings and good wishes being offered to the Prime Minister on his birthday.
The installation at the iconic Puri Beach is expected to draw visitors and onlookers as the coastal landmark takes on a festive appearance ahead of the Prime Minister’s birthday.
