Reinforcing its
commitment to environmental sustainability and community-led green initiatives,
Aditya Aluminium, a unit of Hindalco Industries Limited, celebrated Van Mahotsav
2026 with a large-scale plantation drive that drew enthusiastic participation
from employees, senior management, stakeholders, members of the Ladies Club,
schoolchildren and township residents. The week-long campaign underscored the
company's continued focus on expanding green cover, preserving ecological
balance and fostering environmental awareness through collective action.
As part of the green
initiative, the company organised a large-scale plantation drive across its
plant premises and adjoining township areas to strengthen the region's green
cover and reinforce its commitment to environmental conservation.
The plantation
programme was inaugurated by Unit Head Jagannath Prasad Nayak in the presence
of CPP Plant Head Gulshan Tiwari, HR Head Vinoda Nand Thakur, Environment Head
Lalit Charan and Horticulture Head Shyamalendu Mohapatra.
Addressing the
gathering, the dignitaries underscored the importance of tree plantation in
combating climate change, enhancing biodiversity, improving air quality and
preserving ecological balance for future generations.
During the drive, around
1,600 saplings of native and ecologically significant species were planted at
designated locations across the plant and township. The initiative witnessed
enthusiastic participation from people of all age groups, reflecting a shared
commitment to creating a greener and healthier environment.
Speaking on the
occasion, the management emphasised that every tree planted today is an
investment in a sustainable future and reaffirmed Aditya Aluminium's commitment
to environmental stewardship, sustainable development and ecological
responsibility.
The successful celebration
of Van Mahotsav 2026 once again highlighted Aditya Aluminium's unwavering focus
on greenbelt development, environmental sustainability and community
well-being, while encouraging collective responsibility towards building a
cleaner, greener and more sustainable future.
