The Lapanga Unit of Aditya Aluminium reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive community engagement by organising the Senior Citizen Meet 2026, bringing together 85 elderly citizens from five gram panchayats located in the plant periphery under its Community Development Programme.

The initiative provided a dedicated platform for senior members of the community to share their thoughts, concerns and expectations while offering feedback on ongoing development efforts in their villages. The interaction focused on strengthening dialogue between the company and local residents, ensuring that grassroots perspectives continue to shape welfare interventions.

Senior leadership from the Lapanga Unit participated in the programme, including Unit Head Jagannath Prasad Nayak, Cluster HR Head Dr. Krishna Padhi, HR Head Vinoda Nand Thakur, CPP Head Gulshan Tiwari, Smelter Head Sandip Singh, Sukanta Mohapatro, CSR Head Ravi Niwas and Cluster CSR Head Siba Mohapatra, reflecting the organisation’s emphasis on direct engagement with community stakeholders.

During the session, Cluster CSR Head Siba Mohapatra presented an overview of key initiatives undertaken across the gram panchayats, highlighting progress in infrastructure development, healthcare access and social welfare programmes.

The meet also featured the felicitation of participating senior citizens as a mark of respect and recognition for their role in shaping community values and social cohesion.

Through such initiatives, Aditya Aluminium continues to deepen its partnership with local communities, promoting participatory development and reinforcing its focus on sustainable and inclusive growth in the region.
