Asia's largest air
show and one of the world's premier aerospace and defence exhibitions, Aero
India, will return for its 16th edition at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, in
Bengaluru from February 8 to 12 next year, the Defence Ministry said on
Wednesday.
Organised by the
Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence, Aero India 2027
will bring together leading global aerospace and defence companies,
policymakers, technology experts, innovators, industry stakeholders and defence
forces personnel on a common platform.
The five-day event is
expected to showcase India's growing capabilities in aerospace, defence
manufacturing, emerging technologies and innovation, besides providing a
platform for business engagement, technology exchange, international
cooperation and strategic dialogue.
Aero India has
emerged as a flagship international event highlighting India's expanding
defence industrial ecosystem and its growing role in the global aerospace and
defence sector.
The 16th edition will
feature a comprehensive exhibition as well as a series of business and
strategic engagements, including industry-to-industry interactions,
government-to-industry engagements, technology demonstrations and opportunities
for collaboration.
The event will also
witness spectacular aerial displays by the Indian Air Force and participating
international flying teams, offering visitors an opportunity to see advanced
aviation capabilities in action.
A dedicated web-based
portal has been developed for Aero India 2027 to facilitate seamless
participation and provide comprehensive services to exhibitors and visitors.
Online registration
and booking of exhibition space will commence from September 3, 2026 through
the official Aero India website, www.aeroindia.gov.in.
The upcoming edition
is expected to provide a major boost to India's vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat
and its emergence as a trusted partner in the global defence and aerospace
supply chain.
It will seek to
further expand the participation of Indian defence industries, particularly
MSMEs and start-ups, while creating avenues for partnerships, investments,
exports and technology collaboration.
With the convergence
of global aerospace majors, Indian defence manufacturers, innovators and
policymakers, Aero India 2027 is poised to serve as a key platform for
strengthening India's position in the global aerospace and defence landscape.
