Akums Drugs will acquire Oriflame India's manufacturing
business for ₹56 crore, marking the contract development and manufacturing
organisation (CDMO)'s entry into the fast-growing colour
cosmetics segment as it diversifies beyond pharmaceuticals.
The acquisition, through its wholly owned subsidiary Pure and
Cure Healthcare, includes manufacturing facilities at Roorkee and Noida, along
with a leased warehouse in Noida. The deal is expected to close by August 31,
2026, subject to customary conditions.
The facilities manufacture skincare, wellness, haircare and colour cosmetics products, including lipsticks, foundations, mascaras, eyeliners, shampoos and serums, and are equipped with European-made machinery.
Calling the acquisition a key diversification move, Akums Managing Director Sanjeev Jain said it provides immediate manufacturing capability in one of India's fastest-growing consumer segments. Co-Managing Director Sandeep Jain said the acquisition strengthens the company's manufacturing infrastructure and will help expand production for both domestic and export markets.
