American Express Banking Corp., India has joined hands with
the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in a strategic partnership aimed
at taking premium arts, entertainment and hospitality experiences closer to
eligible American Express India Card Members, combining the global payments
major’s focus on differentiated access with NMACC’s growing role as a showcase
for India’s rich cultural heritage.
As the Preferred Payments Partner, American Express will
offer eligible Card Members a range of specially curated privileges at NMACC,
including pre-sale and complimentary access to select productions, exclusive
dining benefits, premium services and opportunities to engage with the Centre’s
diverse cultural offerings.
The partnership brings together NMACC’s commitment to
presenting Indian and international arts and cultural experiences with American
Express’ focus on creating distinctive and meaningful experiences for its Card
Members, the companies said in a joint statement.
“India has an
extraordinary legacy of art, culture and creative expression, and NMACC has
created a remarkable platform that celebrates this legacy while bringing
audiences closer to exceptional experiences from around the world,” Sanjay
Khanna, CEO and Country Manager, American Express India, said.
“At American Express,
we are committed to continually elevating the value of Card Membership through
experiences that are distinctive and meaningful for our Card Members. Our
partnership with the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre brings these together,
giving Card Members more ways to discover and enjoy some of India's most
exciting cultural moments,” he added.
Devendra Bharma, CEO, Jio World Centre, said the partnership
reflects a shared belief in the power of culture to connect people and creates
new opportunities to celebrate India’s artistic heritage while encouraging
greater cultural exchange between India and the world.
“At Nita Mukesh Ambani
Cultural Centre, our vision is to showcase the best of India to the world and
bring the best of the world to India,” Bharma said.
“We look forward to
expanding India's cultural landscape, and the many voices that shape it,” he
added.
The collaboration builds on American Express’ broader focus
on providing differentiated access and experiences aligned with Card Members’
passions. Through the partnership, eligible Card Members will have more
opportunities to discover select arts and cultural experiences at NMACC,
supported by privileges and services designed to reflect the value of American

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, located within the Jio
World Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex, is a multidisciplinary arts
institution that brings together performing and visual arts, public art and
curated culinary experiences.
The Centre houses three performing arts venues — the
2,000-seater Grand Theatre, the 198-seater Studio Theatre and the 80-seater
Cube — alongside the Art House, a four-storey visual arts space designed to
global museum standards.
Its concourses feature public art by prominent Indian and
international artists, including ‘Kamal Kunj’, described as one of the largest
Pichwai paintings in India. The Centre also offers curated culinary experiences
at NMACC Arts Cafe, NMACC Theatre Cafe and The Bar.
NMACC has also gained international recognition, becoming the first Indian arts institution to be featured by Japanese publication Madame Figaro among the world’s seven leading cultural destinations.
Its growing international footprint was further underscored by its partnership in presenting the National Pavilion of India at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. The pavilion, titled “Geographies of Distance: remembering home”, was presented by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in partnership with NMACC and Serendipity Arts and curated by Dr Amin Jaffer.
