Axis Max Life
Insurance Ltd, formerly known as Max Life Insurance Company Ltd, on Tuesday
announced the launch of the Axis Max Life Rising India Manufacturing Fund, an
actively managed thematic fund aimed at providing policyholders an opportunity
to participate in India’s expanding manufacturing ecosystem.
The fund will invest
primarily in manufacturing and allied segments, including ancillary businesses,
industrial infrastructure providers, engineering firms, automation solution
providers and logistics companies, as well as businesses deriving a significant
portion of their revenues from the broader manufacturing ecosystem.
The fund comes at a
time when India’s manufacturing sector is benefiting from policy support,
infrastructure development, supply-chain diversification and growing domestic
demand. Government initiatives such as Make in India, Production Linked
Incentive (PLI) schemes, the National Logistics Policy and PM Gati Shakti are
supporting investments across manufacturing industries.
Rising private-sector
capital expenditure and improving export competitiveness are also creating
opportunities across automobiles, capital goods, defence, electronics,
chemicals, pharmaceuticals and industrial services.
“India’s manufacturing ecosystem is at an
important stage of its evolution, supported by a combination of policy reforms,
infrastructure development, domestic demand and the growing diversification of
global supply chains,” Vaibhav Kumar, Head – Product Management and E-Commerce
Channel, Axis Max Life, said.
“As the country strengthens its position as a
competitive manufacturing destination, we believe the opportunity extends
beyond traditional manufacturers to a much wider ecosystem of businesses
enabling this transformation,” he added.
Kumar said the fund
would provide policyholders an actively managed avenue to participate in the
long-term structural opportunity, with a diversified approach focused on
identifying companies with strong growth potential, competitive positioning,
operational capabilities and financial strength.
As an actively
managed fund, the scheme will offer the fund manager flexibility to allocate across
manufacturing and allied sectors based on growth prospects, company
fundamentals, valuations and evolving market conditions. The fund will use the
Nifty India Manufacturing Index as its benchmark.
The fund will be
available through online and offline channels under applicable Axis Max Life
unit-linked insurance products. The annual Fund Management Charge will be 1.35
per cent of assets under management.
With the launch, Axis
Max Life said it is expanding its investment options for policyholders seeking
to participate in long-term opportunities emerging from India’s economic and
manufacturing transformation.
