Marking his birthday
with a powerful commitment to education and empowerment, Anant Ambani, scion of
the Mukesh Ambani family, announced a series of transformative initiatives for
students of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), including employment
opportunities within the Reliance Group.
The announcements
include scholarships for KISS students for the current academic year and a
unique exposure opportunity for academic toppers from KG to PG levels to visit
Vantara, the world-class wildlife conservation and rehabilitation centre
established by Shri Ambani. The visit is expected to provide students with
enriching learning experiences and broaden their perspectives on conservation
and sustainability.
In a significant step
towards building sustainable career pathways for tribal youth, 30 KISS
graduates will be offered employment each year across Reliance Group companies.
The initiative is poised to strengthen livelihood opportunities and support long-term
socio-economic empowerment.
Further enhancing
academic support, study materials for the current academic year were
distributed among all students, reinforcing their educational foundation and
enabling them to pursue their aspirations with greater confidence.
The initiatives are
expected to benefit thousands of students across different academic levels,
contributing to their intellectual growth, skill development, and future
livelihood prospects.
As part of the
birthday celebrations, KISS students organised a grand cake-cutting ceremony,
prayers, and a special cultural programme expressing their heartfelt gratitude.
Ambani also hosted a special dinner for 40,000 tribal students, creating a
festive and joyous atmosphere across the campus. In a remarkable gesture,
students formed a human display inspired by the Vantara logo to convey their
appreciation. They also offered prayers to Lord Jagannath for his good health,
happiness, and long life.
The celebrations were held under the guidance of Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, who extended his warm wishes on the occasion. Dr. Samanta stated that the initiatives announced would greatly strengthen students’ confidence and future prospects. He emphasised that such support holds deep significance for children from humble tribal backgrounds, helping open new doors of opportunity.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and members of the KISS community, making it a memorable occasion filled with joy, hope, and aspiration.
