Barabati Stadium in
Cuttack is set to once again witness electrifying international cricket action
as India national cricket team take on Sri Lanka national cricket team in a T20
International match on December 24, 2026, according to the schedule of Sri
Lanka’s upcoming tour of India.
As per the itinerary,
the tour will begin with a three-match ODI series starting on December 13 in
Delhi, followed by fixtures in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad on December 16 and 19
respectively. The action will then shift to the T20I format, with the first
match scheduled in Rajkot on December 22.
Cuttack will host the
second T20I on December 24, with the match scheduled to begin at 7 PM,
promising a festive cricketing spectacle for fans. The final T20I of the series
will be played in Pune on December 27.
The announcement has
sparked enthusiasm among cricket lovers in Odisha, as Barabati Stadium is set
to come alive with international excitement once again. The iconic venue last
hosted an international match on December 9, 2025, when India faced South
Africa in a T20I contest and secured a commanding 101-run victory, leaving fans
with memorable moments and high expectations for another thrilling encounter.
