Reinforcing its commitment to rural prosperity and sustainable
agriculture, Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the corporate social
responsibility (CSR) arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd., has extended critical
agricultural support to 23 farmers in Cuttack through the distribution of
irrigation and farm equipment aimed at enhancing productivity and improving
cultivation efficiency.
As part of the initiative, DBF distributed battery-operated sprayers to
13 farmers and 2 HP petrol-based motor pumps to 10 paddy cultivators. Under its
flagship Gram Parivartan Project, DBF has been consistently supporting farmers
with 2 HP petrol-based motor pumps and sprayers since 2023, benefiting nearly
340 farmers till date.
The distribution programme was attended by Debi Prasad Das, Unit Head,
KCW, and Jagadish Bala, Technical Head, KCW, who encouraged the farmers to
adopt modern agricultural practices for long-term growth and prosperity. The
event also witnessed the participation of the Sarpanch and other village
leaders.
Commenting on the initiative, Debi Prasad Das, Unit Head, Kapilas Cement
Works, said, “Agriculture continues to be the primary source of livelihood for
thousands of rural families, and improving access to basic farm infrastructure
remains critical for sustainable growth. Through this initiative we aim to
enable farmers with greater efficiency in cultivation and strengthen
sustainable farming practices at the grassroots level.”
Launched with the objective of driving holistic rural development, the
Gram Parivartan Project focuses on key interventions across agriculture, water
conservation, skill development, horticulture, livestock development, and
micro-enterprises. By promoting self-reliant villages, the project continues to
strengthen rural livelihoods and build long-term community resilience across
rural India.
