Dalmia Bharat
Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd, has distributed 130
nutrition kits to tuberculosis (TB) patients at the Community Health Centre
(CHC) here under the Nikshya Mitra initiative, aimed at supporting patients
during their treatment and recovery.
The initiative seeks
to complement medical treatment with nutritional assistance, recognising the
important role of adequate nutrition alongside regular medication in supporting
the health and recovery of TB patients.
As part of its
continued efforts towards TB eradication, DBF has been providing nutrition kits
to active TB patients under the Nikshya Mitra initiative. During 2025-26, the
foundation distributed more than 1,000 nutrition kits across its operational
areas, benefiting TB patients in communities around Rajgangpur.
The latest
distribution programme was held in the presence of the Medical Officer and
doctors from CHC Rajgangpur, members of the Dalmia Cement Bharat Ltd (DCBL) HR
team, and representatives of the DBF and CSR teams.
Speaking on the
initiative, Ashutosh Kumar Tiwary, Deputy Executive Director and Unit Head,
Rajgangpur, said community health and well-being were integral to sustainable
development.
"Through our continued
efforts under the Nikshya Mitra initiative, we aim to complement medical
treatment with nutritional support and help TB patients through their treatment
and recovery. We remain committed to working with healthcare institutions and
local communities to contribute towards the vision of a TB-free India," he
said.
Besides providing
nutritional assistance, the foundation has been conducting awareness activities
to promote timely diagnosis, treatment adherence and greater awareness about TB
prevention and care.
The initiatives are
aimed at supporting patients throughout their treatment, while also improving
community awareness and helping reduce the stigma associated with the disease.

well-being of communities through sustained grassroots interventions and
collaboration with local stakeholders.
