Reaffirming its
commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development, Dalmia
Bharat Ltd., one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, celebrated World
Environment Week 2026 in Cuttack through a series of community-driven
initiatives aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable
living.
The week-long
observance witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 70 employees and
local community members, reflecting a shared commitment towards environmental
conservation and climate action. The celebrations focused on fostering
awareness and encouraging collective efforts to build a cleaner, greener, and
more sustainable future.
As part of the
initiative, Dalmia Bharat organized plantation drives and cleanliness campaigns
to enhance local green cover and promote cleaner surroundings. A total of 100
saplings were planted during the programme, contributing to ecological
restoration and long-term environmental sustainability. The cleanliness drives
also highlighted the importance of waste reduction and responsible
environmental practices within communities.
