(Bharat) Limited celebrated Utkal Divas at its Rajgangpur unit, paying homage
to Odisha’s glorious cultural heritage while reaffirming its strong commitment
to the development of local communities. The celebration reflected the
company’s deep-rooted association with the state and its continued efforts to
contribute to inclusive and sustainable growth.
The programme
commenced with floral tributes to Pandit Gopabandhu Das, fondly remembered as
Utkalamani, one of Odisha’s most revered freedom fighters, social reformers and
educationists. The event highlighted the historic movement that led to the
formation of Odisha as a separate state in 1936 and underscored the enduring
spirit of unity, resilience and progress that defines the state’s identity.
As part of the Utkal
Divas celebrations, the company distributed modern farming equipment to more
than 200 farmers from the Rajgangpur and Lanjiberna mines region, reinforcing
its commitment to strengthening rural livelihoods and promoting sustainable
agricultural practices. The event, held at Gopabandhu Park, witnessed the
presence of senior leadership including Chetan Srivastava, Executive Director
& Unit Head, Rajgangpur, along with other officials and community members.
Commenting on the initiative, Chetan Srivastava said, “Utkal Divas celebrates the spirit, heritage, and progress of Odisha.
