DSP Asset Managers Private Limited (DSPAM) on Wednesday
announced the appointment of Komal Narang as Head of Distribution, succeeding
Usha Nair, who will retire from the company.
In her new role, Narang will lead DSPAM's distribution
strategy, with a focus on deepening relationships with distribution partners
and expanding access to the company's investment solutions for investors across
India.
Narang brings over two decades of experience in financial
services, spanning distribution, sales leadership, customer engagement and
business development. She joins DSPAM from JioBlackRock Mutual Fund, where she
served as Chief Client Officer and led sales, marketing and digital initiatives.
Prior to JioBlackRock, Narang spent more than a decade with
ICICI Prudential Asset Management, holding senior leadership positions across
customer engagement and business development. In her most recent role as Head –
Customer Engagement, she built and led the asset manager's B2C business.
Earlier, she headed organised distribution channels as Head – Business
Development.
Earlier in her career, Narang held leadership roles in sales
and distribution at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. She has also worked with
Kotak Life Insurance and Indiabulls.
At DSPAM, Narang will oversee distribution across channels,
strategic alliances and distribution marketing. She will focus on strengthening
partnerships across the distribution ecosystem and enhancing investor engagement
as the asset manager expands its presence across India.
"Distribution is much more than a channel for growth. It
is how we build trust with investors through long-term relationships with our
partners," DSP Asset Managers Managing Director and CEO Kalpen Parekh
said.
He said DSP's Distributor Success Framework goes beyond
communication and campaigns by sharing practical growth marketing frameworks to
help distribution partners address business challenges and grow their
practices.
"When we help distributors build stronger businesses, we
build deeper and more enduring partnerships," Parekh said, adding that
Narang's experience across distribution, customer engagement and business
development would help take this approach to more partners across India.
Narang said DSP's long-term, investor-first philosophy
strongly resonates with her and that distribution partners play a vital role in
helping investors achieve their financial goals.
"Our role goes beyond simply offering investment solutions. It is also about bringing meaningful value to our partners through our investment insights, expertise and understanding of investor needs," she said.
Narang added that she looks forward to working with distribution partners to deepen relationships, expand access to investment solutions and create a consistent, high-quality experience for investors.
