The Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT), managed by the Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA) Group, has invited nominations for the prestigious 34th Ekalabya Puraskar-2026, reaffirming its enduring commitment to nurturing emerging sporting talent in Odisha. Widely regarded as one of the most coveted sports honours in the state, the award recognises outstanding young sportspersons who have demonstrated excellence at the state, national, and international levels.

The Ekalabya Puraskar carries a cash prize of Rs 7 lakh, symbolising both recognition and encouragement for promising athletes striving to achieve greater milestones in their sporting careers.

In addition, two citation awards, each carrying a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh, will also be presented to deserving performers who have showcased remarkable dedication and achievements in their respective disciplines.

Eligible candidates must be under 25 years of age as on March 31, 2026, and should submit detailed applications supported by documentary evidence of performance over the past two years, covering the period from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2026. Nominations are to be routed through recognised sports organisations, boards, associations, universities, colleges, or schools within Odisha, ensuring a structured and credible selection process.

Instituted in 1993 by IMPaCT and managed by IMFA, the Ekalabya Puraskar has earned a distinguished reputation over the decades as a powerful platform that inspires young athletes to pursue sporting excellence with determination and discipline. The achievements of past awardees reflect the award’s role as a catalyst in shaping successful sporting careers, making it a symbol of aspiration for the next generation of champions.
