Global activewear brand Fabletics on Tuesday entered the Indian retail market with the opening of its first store at DLF Promenade in New Delhi, in an exclusive partnership with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL), bringing its technology-led retail experience to Indian consumers.

The launch marks Fabletics’ formal retail entry into India, as the brand seeks to tap into growing consumer interest in activewear that combines performance, comfort and contemporary fashion.

Located at DLF Promenade in Vasant Kunj, the store has been designed as an experience-led retail space, with technology playing a central role in enhancing the shopping experience.

A key feature of the outlet is its RFID-enabled fitting-room experience. When shoppers enter a trial room with selected products, an in-room tablet automatically identifies the items and displays them on the screen. Customers can also use the system to view alternative sizes and styles available in the store and request them directly from the fitting room.

The opening attracted a queue of more than 100 people, with visitors participating in activities including a balance-board challenge and an in-store claw machine. The DLF Promenade atrium also hosted a movement pop-up and a pedal-powered smoothie station, where visitors could cycle to blend their own complimentary smoothies.

Fabletics is offering a collection of apparel and accessories for women and men, including leggings, pants, joggers, shorts, sports bras, tank tops, tops, polo shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, vests, bags and hats.

The collection is positioned around versatile designs intended to transition from workouts and training to everyday wear, combining performance-oriented features with contemporary styling.

“The Indian activewear consumer now expects apparel that performs as well as it looks, and Fabletics answers that with a rare combination of design, technology and accessibility,” Sumeet Yadav, Head, Reliance Brands Limited, said.

“Opening our first store in Delhi, with a format built around experience and personalization, is the right way to introduce the brand, and we see significant headroom to grow Fabletics across the country,” he added.

Meera Bhatia, President, Fabletics, said the India launch was a major milestone for the brand and an opportunity for consumers to experience its products directly.

“The store brings together two core strengths of our brand: incredible product and technology designed around the customer, creating a retail experience that feels seamless, intuitive and personalized,” she said.

The company said another Fabletics store is planned to open in Mumbai as it expands its presence in India.

The DLF Promenade outlet, located on the first floor at 3 Nelson Mandela Road, Vasant Kunj, is open daily from 11 am to 10 pm.
