Global activewear major Fabletics is set to enter the fast-evolving Indian fashion and fitness market in partnership with Reliance Brands Limited (RBL), marking a significant expansion of the Los Angeles-based brand as Indian consumers increasingly blend performance, fashion and everyday dressing.

Fabletics will make its India debut simultaneously through a dedicated India website and its first mono-brand retail store at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, with a second store in Mumbai slated to follow shortly.

The launch comes under an exclusive long-term partnership between Fabletics and RBL to build and operate the brand in India. RBL will spearhead Fabletics' growth through an omnichannel model encompassing standalone stores, e-commerce and experiential brand environments, combining Fabletics' global product and creative proposition with Reliance's experience in developing international brands for Indian consumers.

Founded in Los Angeles in 2013, Fabletics has carved out a distinctive position in the activewear segment by marrying fashion-forward design with high-performance apparel. The brand, known for its proprietary high-quality fabrics, bold colours and fashion-led silhouettes, has evolved from a digitally native disruptor into a global omnichannel business with more than 125 retail locations.

Its collaborations with personalities including Khloé Kardashian and Kevin Hart have further brought together fashion, fitness and popular culture, helping Fabletics establish an identity beyond conventional performance wear.

The brand's India entry comes at a time when activewear is increasingly moving beyond gyms and fitness studios into everyday wardrobes. Consumers are seeking apparel that combines technical performance with contemporary design, creating an opportunity for brands that can bridge the gap between functionality and fashion.

"India is undergoing an incredible transformation, driven by young consumers embracing movement, mindfulness, and athleisure as essential to their everyday lives. As we looked to expand our activewear portfolio, Fabletics stood out for its distinctive approach to making fashion-forward design accessible and built for everyday wear, making it a natural fit for the evolving Indian market. We're excited to bring Fabletics to India and see considerable opportunity to introduce the brand to a new generation of active consumers," Sumeet Yadav, Head, Reliance Brands Limited, said.

The India assortment will include women's and men's activewear across training, running, yoga, Pilates and everyday movement. The collection will bring together Fabletics' proprietary performance fabrics with its emphasis on colour, silhouette and design, offering styles intended to move seamlessly from workouts to everyday wear.

"India represents an important next step in Fabletics' international growth. We built Fabletics around the idea that consumers shouldn't have to choose between performance, style and value, and we see that proposition resonating strongly with the way India's active consumer is evolving. Reliance Brands combines deep market understanding with an ability to build global brands for India, making them the right partner for our long-term ambitions in the market," Meera Bhatia, President, Fabletics, said.

The New Delhi outlet at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, will mark Fabletics' first physical presence in India, alongside the launch of its dedicated India website. The Mumbai store will follow shortly, laying the groundwork for the brand's longer-term expansion across the country.
