The FASTag Annual Pass has crossed a landmark milestone of one crore passes issued, underscoring its growing acceptance among private vehicle owners and its increasing role in making travel on India’s National Highways and Expressways more seamless and economical.

Launched on August 15, 2025, the Annual Pass has witnessed strong adoption among National Highway users seeking a convenient alternative to repeated toll payments and FASTag recharges. The milestone highlights the expanding preference for simplified, predictable toll-payment options among non-commercial vehicle owners.

The Annual Pass is currently applicable at around 1,150 fee plazas across National Highways and National Expressways. Under the scheme, eligible motorists can avail themselves of the pass through a one-time payment of ₹3,075, providing validity for one year or 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever comes first.

The facility is available to non-commercial vehicles equipped with a valid FASTag. Once the one-time payment is made, the Annual Pass is activated on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle, eliminating the need for a separate tag. The payment and activation process can be completed through the Rajmargyatra App.

The one-crore milestone reflects the growing reach of digital tolling and the increasing use of technology-driven solutions to improve the highway travel experience. By combining FASTag-based electronic toll collection with an annual payment model, the initiative offers motorists greater convenience while reducing the need for frequent toll-related transactions.

With its expanding user base, the FASTag Annual Pass is emerging as an important component of India’s efforts to promote seamless, efficient and economical mobility across the National Highway network.
