Demonstrating its commitment to employee well-being and
holistic development, JSW Steel’s Odisha Mining Division celebrated
International Yoga Day 2026 with remarkable enthusiasm across its mining
locations on Sunday. Employees, their families, and members of nearby
communities came together to participate in yoga sessions, embracing the spirit
of wellness, balance, and harmony.
Observed under this year’s global theme, “Yoga for Healthy
Ageing,” the celebrations underscored the importance of yoga in promoting
physical fitness, mental well-being, emotional resilience, and active ageing,
thereby enhancing overall quality of life.
The observance featured guided yoga demonstrations conducted
by trained instructors at Narayanposhi Mine, Nugaon Mines, Ganua Mine, JSW
Koida Colony, and the JSW Barbil Residential Complex. Participants actively
engaged in sessions covering asanas, pranayama, and meditation practices aimed
at encouraging healthier lifestyles and fostering inner balance.
The participants also pledged to integrate yoga into their
daily routines, recognising it as a powerful tool for stress management,
improved concentration, and overall well-being.
Speaking on the occasion, Head HR of JSW Steel, Odisha Mining Division, Chittaranjan Bahinipati, emphasised that yoga is not just a practice but a way of life, fostering unity between body, mind, and spirit. His words resonated with participants, reinforcing the timeless relevance of yoga in promoting holistic well-being.
The celebration reaffirmed JSW Steel’s steadfast commitment to employee wellness, community engagement, and sustainable development, while aligning with the global vision of promoting harmony, peace, and healthier living through yoga.
