Public sector Oil
Marketing Companies (OMCs) have assured consumers across Odisha that the supply
of Petrol, Diesel and LPG remains fully adequate and uninterrupted, even as
authorities intensified monitoring of inventories and logistics operations to
maintain seamless distribution across the state.
Indian Oil Corporation
Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum
Corporation Limited stated on Monday that the entire fuel supply network —
including terminals, depots and retail outlets — is functioning normally
without any operational disruption. The companies said fuel inventories are
being tracked in real time while replenishment operations are continuing
smoothly to ensure optimal stock levels at all distribution points.
The assurance comes
amid growing public concern over fuel availability in several regions,
prompting the oil companies to reiterate that there is no shortage of essential
petroleum products anywhere in Odisha.
The companies further
stated that supply of Liquefied Petroleum Gas to domestic consumers continues
to receive the highest priority and remains normal throughout the state.
Officials said the situation is under constant surveillance to ensure timely
and uninterrupted LPG delivery to households.
According to the OMCs,
strong coordination is being maintained across the oil industry on logistics
management, stock movement and retail operations to guarantee uninterrupted
fuel availability across Odisha. Consumers have been urged to maintain normal
purchasing behaviour and avoid panic buying, which could create unnecessary
pressure on the supply chain.
The Oil Marketing
Companies further emphasized that there is no cause for concern regarding fuel
availability and appealed to the public to rely solely on official
communications for accurate, verified, and timely information.
Reaffirming their
commitment to energy security, the companies said all necessary measures are
being taken to ensure uninterrupted service and stable fuel supply to consumers
across the state.
