Marking its entry into Odisha’s passenger transport sector, Garudaa Travels has launched Garudaa Express, a premium sleeper bus service connecting Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Rourkela, with plans for gradual expansion across the state and neighbouring regions.

The service was formally inaugurated at a function held at Durga Mandap near Baramunda Bus Stop in Bhubaneswar in the presence of industry stakeholders, transport professionals and invited guests.

Founded by Debashish Mishra, Garudaa Travels is backed by more than a decade of experience in the commercial vehicle and transport finance sector. Having worked closely with transporters, fleet owners, bus operators and vehicle owners, Mishra identified the need for a passenger-centric travel brand focused on reliability, comfort, safety and service excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, Mishra said, "Garudaa Travels was born from a vision to provide a better travel experience for passengers while building a trusted transportation brand for Odisha."

To strengthen its operational capabilities, the company has partnered with Sanjeeb Biswal, a seasoned bus operations professional whose expertise in passenger transport management has played a crucial role in shaping the venture’s operational framework.

Garudaa Express begins operations with two premium sleeper coaches on the Bhubaneswar–Cuttack–Rourkela corridor, one of Odisha’s key travel routes. The service aims to offer passengers a comfortable, safe and punctual travel experience, supported by modern amenities and professional management.

Company officials said Garudaa Travels intends to steadily expand its network across Odisha and neighbouring states while maintaining stringent standards of safety, operational efficiency and customer service.

With a blend of industry knowledge, operational expertise and a strong commitment to passenger satisfaction, Garudaa Travels aims to redefine long-distance road travel and emerge as a trusted mobility brand in eastern India.
