IBM Consulting has
expanded its presence in Eastern India with the inauguration of its
state-of-the-art FutureNow Center in Bhubaneswar, reinforcing the company’s commitment
to accelerating digital transformation and economic growth in the region. The
new facility marks a significant milestone in strengthening IBM’s Hybrid Cloud
and AI Consulting capabilities, which are being delivered to global clients
from India.
The FutureNow Center
was inaugurated on March 31 by Vishal Kumar Dev, Additional Chief Secretary of
the Electronics & Information Technology Department and Energy Department,
Government of Odisha, in the presence of Amit Sharma, Managing Partner – Global
Delivery, IBM Consulting, along with senior officials from the Government of
Odisha and IBM leadership.
Speaking on the
occasion, Vishal Kumar Dev highlighted that the expansion reflects growing
confidence in Bhubaneswar’s emergence as a prominent IT and global delivery hub
in Eastern India. He noted that the initiative aligns with the state’s
strategic focus on high-growth sectors such as semiconductors, data centres,
and digital infrastructure, positioning Odisha as an attractive destination for
technology-driven investments.
The FutureNow Center
underscores IBM’s strategic focus on emerging cities with strong talent
potential. The expanded presence in Bhubaneswar is expected to create new
employment opportunities by enabling the company to recruit skilled
professionals from leading local universities and across the region. The
initiative will further strengthen Odisha’s innovation ecosystem while
contributing to the state’s ambitions of becoming a key technology and digital
services hub in the country.
With the launch of
