India and Egypt have discussed measures to boost two-way investment flows, strengthen bilateral economic cooperation and facilitate smoother trade in digitally delivered services during talks between Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid Saleh on the sidelines of the BRICS India 2026 Trade and Industry Ministers' Meeting.
Sharing details of the meeting on X, Goyal said the discussions focused on reinforcing economic ties and promoting seamless digital trade. Earlier this week, addressing the BRICS Industry Ministers' Meeting in Jaipur under India's BRICS 2026 Chairship, Goyal said BRICS nations have a unique opportunity to strengthen manufacturing competitiveness, deepen technological collaboration, build resilient value chains and promote sustainable industrial growth. He added that India highlighted priorities including MSMEs, startup innovation, clean energy cooperation and technology-enabled logistics to drive sustainable industrial development.
