MUMBAI, SEPTEMBER 15, 2026

Invesco Mutual Fund on Tuesday launched two sector-focused passive investment schemes — Invesco India Nifty India Defence Index Fund and Invesco India Nifty Chemical Index Fund — offering investors exposure to sectors seen benefiting from structural reforms, policy support and India’s manufacturing-led growth.

The New Fund Offers (NFOs) for both schemes opened for subscription on September 15 and will close on September 29, 2026.

The Invesco India Nifty India Defence Index Fund is an open-ended scheme that will replicate and track the Nifty India Defence Index, subject to tracking error. The fund will invest in equity and equity-related securities of companies forming part of the index and seek to replicate its composition and weightages.

The index provides exposure to companies across India's defence ecosystem, including aerospace and defence manufacturers, defence electronics firms, shipbuilders, explosives manufacturers and other related businesses.

The fund is designed to provide investors with passive exposure to India's defence sector, which is witnessing increased policy emphasis on indigenisation, rising defence spending and growing opportunities in defence exports.

The Invesco India Nifty Chemical Index Fund, meanwhile, will replicate and track the Nifty Chemical Index, subject to tracking error.

The index comprises companies operating across segments such as specialty chemicals, agrochemicals, commodity chemicals, fertilisers, industrial gases, explosives and related businesses, offering diversified exposure to India's chemical ecosystem.

According to Invesco Mutual Fund, India's growth outlook continues to be supported by structural reforms, rising domestic consumption, manufacturing-led development and a strong policy focus on strategic and industrial self-reliance.

While the defence sector is benefiting from increased spending, indigenisation initiatives and expanding export opportunities, the chemical industry is gaining from rising domestic demand, value-added manufacturing and diversification of global supply chains.

Together, the two schemes are aimed at providing transparent and cost-efficient access to these long-term growth themes through passive investing.

Both schemes will be managed by Abhisek Bahinipati.

The minimum investment during the NFO for both schemes is ₹100 and in multiples of ₹1 thereafter. Investors can also opt for systematic investment plans (SIPs) with daily investments starting at ₹20 through digital platforms, weekly and monthly investments from ₹100, and quarterly investments from ₹300.

There will be no exit load for either scheme.

The NFOs will remain open until September 29, following which the schemes will seek to provide investors with passive exposure to their respective benchmark indices.
