Jana Small Finance
Bank has further reinforced its commitment to advancing financial inclusion
with the inauguration of its 823rd branch in Berhampur, Odisha. The expansion
marks another significant milestone in the Bank’s sustained efforts to enhance
access to formal banking services across underserved and emerging markets,
particularly in regions with growing demand for reliable financial solutions.
The new branch is
strategically located near Khallikote College Ground, enabling it to
effectively serve individuals, households, entrepreneurs and small businesses
in the region.
The branch was
inaugurated by Geetanjali Dash, Vice Chancellor, Berhampur University, in the
presence of senior officials from Jana Small Finance Bank and other
distinguished guests. The inauguration ceremony underscored the importance of
strengthening financial infrastructure in regional centres, which play a vital
role in driving inclusive development.
The Berhampur branch
will provide a comprehensive range of banking products and services tailored to
diverse customer needs. These include savings and current accounts, affordable
housing loans, gold loans, and a broad portfolio of retail financial solutions
such as unsecured loans. By offering customer-centric and technology-enabled
services, the Bank aims to simplify financial access while supporting the
aspirations of local communities and promoting economic participation.
With the addition of
the Berhampur branch, the Bank’s presence in Odisha has expanded to 89
branches, including 63 Unbanked Rural Branches (UBRs). This growing network
highlights Jana Small Finance Bank’s strategic focus on bridging the financial
access gap and strengthening the reach of organised banking services in rural
and semi-urban areas.
