Jindal
Foundation has felicitated 10 successful candidates of its flagship UTKARSH
Coaching Programme who secured notable ranks in the Odisha Public Service
Commission (OPSC) examination, recognising their perseverance and academic
excellence.
The
felicitation ceremony, held at Jindal Steel, Anugola, was attended by Jindal
Steel Chief Operating Officer Rajiv Kumar, Executive Director P K Biju Nair and
Jindal Foundation Group Head–CSR Rishi Pathania.
Among
the achievers were Sangram Pradhan, who secured Rank 5, followed by Suman Gupta
(15), Somnath Pati (17), Sourav Mohapatra (30), Subhalaxmi Patra (34),
Shatarupa Mitra (49), Akshata Sahoo (71), Rabindra Rout (107), Subhasmita Jena
(111) and Sanjay Purty (141).
Congratulating
the successful candidates, COO Kumar lauded their perseverance and
determination in turning their aspirations into reality. He said Jindal Steel,
through its social arm Jindal Foundation, would continue to support and nurture
talented individuals and help them emerge as responsible and inspiring
contributors to society.
Nair
urged the achievers to uphold the values of public service and make meaningful
contributions to society as they embark on their professional journeys.
The
UTKARSH Programme provides free coaching and academic guidance to civil
services aspirants from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Over the past
five years, 68 aspirants associated with the programme have cleared the OPSC
examination, while more than 120 others have qualified in various Central and
State Government examinations.
The
achievers expressed their gratitude to Jindal Foundation for its sustained
academic support and guidance, including mock viva-voce sessions conducted by
Suraj Kumar Mishra, Founder and Chairman of IAS Gurukul.
Jayanta
Kumar Mohanty, HoD–CSR, Anugola, along with other departmental team members,
was also present at the ceremony. The programme concluded with a guided visit
to the Jindal Steel plant, providing the achievers an opportunity to gain an
insight into the operations of the facility.
