Marking the birthday of Chairperson
Emerita Savitri Jindal, Jindal Steel commemorated the occasion on Friday with a
series of heartfelt charitable initiatives, reflecting the spirit of service
and inclusivity that defines her legacy.
In a meaningful outreach effort, the
Jindal Foundation, alongside employees, visited old age homes and orphanages
across Angul district, spending quality time with residents, sharing meals, and
extending support to both the elderly and children. The initiative created
moments of warmth and connection, embodying the organisation’s commitment to
community welfare.
The observance saw enthusiastic
participation from Angul Location Head and Executive Director P. K. Biju Nair,
Executive Director (Iron Zone) Damodar Mittal, Executive Director (SMS &
Mills) Hridayeshwar Jha, and President (HR) Dilip Sinha, along with department
heads, employees, workers, and community members, all of whom conveyed their
heartfelt wishes for Savitri Jindal’s health and wellbeing.
Spiritual ceremonies, including
prayers and hawans, were conducted at the Devbhoomi Temple in Jindal Nagar and
at DAV Savitri Jindal High School, invoking blessings for her continued health,
happiness, and prosperity. Across the plant, shared meals in canteens and
gatherings at locations such as the Executive Director’s office and Veer Bhoomi
(Shramik Vihar) further strengthened the sense of unity and gratitude among
employees.
By dedicating the day to acts of
service, Jindal Steel reaffirmed its core values while celebrating the enduring
legacy of Savitri Jindal, whose contributions to public life and philanthropy
continue to inspire. A former minister in the Government of Haryana and
currently an Independent MLA from Hisar, she has remained deeply engaged in
advancing initiatives in education, healthcare, and the upliftment of
underprivileged communities.
