Employees of Jindal
Steel celebrated the birthday of their Chairman, Naveen Jindal, with a series
of meaningful activities centred on wellness, community engagement, and social
responsibility at the Angul plant and nearby locations.
The celebrations
commenced early in the morning with a Yoga session at Jindal Nagar Township,
guided by Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati. Angul Location Head and
Executive Director P.K. Biju Nair, Executive Director (Iron Zone) Damodar
Mittal, Executive Director (SMS & Mills) Hridayeshwar Jha, and President
(HR) Dilip Sinha, along with Heads of Departments, employees, and their family
members, participated enthusiastically in the session, underlining the
importance of physical fitness and mental well-being. Participants also
conveyed their heartfelt wishes and prayers for the good health, prosperity,
and long life of the Chairman.
As part of the
company’s CSR initiatives, several community-focused programmes were organised
by Jindal Foundation. The Chiranjeevi Nutrition Support Project was conducted
at Jamunali to promote nutritional awareness and better health practices among
local communities. On the same occasion, the Jamunali Playground was
inaugurated to encourage sports and recreational activities among local youth.
A Nadi Pariksha and Ayurvedic Lifestyle
Consultation Camp was also organised at Jan Jeevika Kendra, promoting
traditional wellness practices and preventive healthcare among residents.
Employees across the
plant also came together for a gala lunch at all plant canteens, fostering a
spirit of unity and celebration. A swimming competition for employees and their
families was held at the Swimming Complex, where winners across various
categories were felicitated.
Additional activities
such as cake-cutting ceremonies at different locations and an online virtual
quiz competition further added enthusiasm and excitement to the celebrations.
Through these
initiatives, Jindal Steel and Power reaffirmed its commitment to employee
well-being, community development, and social responsibility — reflecting the
vision and values championed by its Chairman, Naveen Jindal.
