Reinforcing its position as Odisha’s leading digital service provider, Reliance Jio has clocked an impressive addition of over 1.8 lakh new subscribers in January 2026, according to the latest data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The surge includes more than 1.57 lakh new mobile users and over 23,000 home broadband subscribers, underscoring the company’s continued momentum in both wireless and wireline segments.

The latest figures highlight Jio’s growing dominance in the state, where it commands over 46 percent market share in mobile services and more than 60 percent in the home broadband segment. Notably, the addition of home broadband users in January was more than double that of its closest competitor, Bharti Airtel, reflecting Jio’s strong consumer preference and expanding footprint.

With a robust subscriber base now exceeding 1.74 crore mobile users, along with 3.64 lakh JioFiber and 3.51 lakh JioAirFiber customers, Jio has further consolidated its leadership across wireless, wireline, and fixed wireless access (FWA) services in Odisha. The company’s rapid expansion is also playing a pivotal role in driving digital inclusion, extending high-speed connectivity to thousands of villages and bridging the urban-rural digital divide.

Nationally too, Jio continues to lead the telecom growth story, adding over 24 lakh wireless subscribers, 1.79 lakh wireline users, and more than 5.85 lakh FWA subscribers in January alone, as per TRAI data.

Powered by cutting-edge technology and a customer-centric approach, Jio’s services — particularly JioFiber and JioAirFiber — are transforming home entertainment and connectivity experiences. With access to over 800 TV channels, 11+ OTT platforms, unlimited WiFi, and seamless high-speed broadband, the company is enabling students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and families across Odisha to fully participate in the digital economy.
