Marking a decade of reshaping India's telecom landscape,
Reliance Jio on Monday reintroduced its Jio Prime membership programme,
offering customers an opportunity to secure today's eligible tariff plans for a
year, while also providing cashback vouchers and other exclusive benefits.
The revamped Jio Prime programme, available to both prepaid
and postpaid customers, will allow members to continue recharging with their
preferred eligible Jio plans at today's prices until September 5, 2027,
irrespective of any tariff revisions that may be announced during the
price-guarantee period.
The move comes as Jio marks 10 years of its commercial
journey and expands the Prime programme beyond its original purpose of
rewarding its first 100 million customers. The company said the reintroduced
programme is aimed at providing "assurance of price guarantee and a range
of additional benefits" to its family of more than 500 million users.
Importantly, Jio's existing tariff plans, including the industry-leading
₹299
plan, will continue to be available to all users. The Prime membership is
therefore, positioned as an additional option for customers seeking greater
certainty over future mobile expenses rather than as a replacement for existing
plans.
"Jio Prime Membership Programme was originally created
as an act of gratitude to Jio’s first 100 million customers. Today, it is
reintroduced to provide assurance of price guarantee and a range of additional
benefits, for Jio’s family of over 500 million users."
Under the new programme, customers paying a one-time joining
fee of ₹300
can protect the prices of their favourite eligible Jio plans for one year. This
means members can continue recharging at today's prices until September 5,
2027, even if Jio revises
tariffs during the price-guarantee period.
"Jio Prime enables additional price certainty for future
so that customers can continue recharging with confidence, their preferred
eligible Jio plans at today's prices, irrespective of any future price revisions
during the price-guarantee period, for one-year until 5 September 2027."
Beyond the price guarantee, Jio Prime comes with cashback
vouchers worth ₹600. Members will receive a ₹300 cashback
voucher redeemable against a new JioHome or JioPC connection, along with another ₹300
cashback voucher for adding a new Jio SIM connection for friends or family.
The membership also provides early access to new Jio
products, services and trials, besides priority customer support through a
dedicated service channel. Jio said additional member-exclusive benefits may
also be announced during the membership period.
Jio Prime is open to the company's existing prepaid and postpaid subscribers. Customers currently using other telecom networks can also become Prime members by porting their numbers to Jio or by taking a new Jio connection.
The membership will be available through the MyJio app, Jio.com, Jio Stores and authorised Jio partner stores, making the programme accessible across Jio's digital and physical retail channels.
