Further consolidating its position as the leading digital service
provider in Odisha, Reliance Jio has added the highest number of new mobile and
home broadband subscribers in the state during April 2026. According to the
latest telecom subscription data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority
of India (TRAI), Jio added more than 1.61 lakh new subscribers in Odisha during
the month, reaffirming its dominance across wireless and broadband segments.
As per the TRAI data, over 1.43 lakh new mobile subscribers and more than
17,000 new home broadband subscribers joined the Jio network in Odisha in April
2026. Overall, the state recorded an increase of more than 2.52 lakh mobile
subscribers during the month, taking Odisha’s total mobile subscriber base to
3.84 crore.
Strengthening its undisputed leadership in the home broadband segment,
Reliance Jio continued to witness robust growth driven by the rising popularity
of JioFiber and JioAirFiber services across urban as well as rural Odisha. Jio
added more than double the number of new home broadband subscribers compared to
its nearest competitor during the month.
With the latest additions, Jio has further reinforced its leadership
across all three major segments — wireless, wireline and Fixed Wireless Access
(FWA) — in Odisha. The company now commands the highest subscriber base in the
state with around 1.87 crore mobile subscribers, nearly 3.76 lakh JioFiber
subscribers and close to 3.9 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers.
Driving digital inclusion deep into the rural hinterlands of Odisha, Jio
has been playing a pivotal role in making high-speed broadband connectivity
accessible at the doorsteps of thousands of villages. The rapid expansion of
its digital infrastructure has enabled millions of users across the state to
benefit from seamless connectivity, digital services, online education,
entertainment and e-governance initiatives.
The TRAI data also highlighted Jio’s strong performance at the national
level. Across India, Jio added more than 29 lakh new mobile subscribers and
over 5.71 lakh new home broadband subscribers in April 2026. This included over
1.42 lakh new JioFiber subscribers and more than 4.29 lakh new JioAirFiber
subscribers, underlining the growing preference for Jio’s next-generation
broadband solutions nationwide.
Backed by cutting-edge technology, a robust digital ecosystem and a customer-centric approach, Jio continues to accelerate Odisha’s digital transformation across both urban and rural landscapes. Further enhancing its digital entertainment offerings, Jio has recently introduced an attractive Rs. 200 Jio OTT Pass — a single 28-day pack that combines access to 15 premium OTT applications, more than 1,000 live TV channels on JioTV, 30 GB of high-speed data and unlimited 5G benefits for the duration of the user’s base plan validity.
The newly launched OTT pack offers access to premium platforms including YouTube Premium, JioHotstar Mobile + Hollywood and Prime Video Mobile Edition, along with 12 additional OTT platforms available through JioTV such as SonyLiv, ZEE5, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, Tarang Plus, Sun NXT, FanCode, Kanccha Lannka, Planet Marathi, Chaupal, Hoichoi and TimesPlay.
