Reliance Jio on Saturday
announced a new benefit for its JioHome customers, offering a one-year
complimentary Amazon Prime Lite membership to users of select 3-in-1 TV, OTT
and Wi-Fi plans, as part of celebrations marking the company's 10th
anniversary.
Under the offer, new
and existing customers subscribed to eligible 30 Mbps and 100 Mbps JioHome
plans will receive Amazon Prime Lite for 12 months at no additional cost.
The membership will
provide customers access to Prime Video, including movies and shows, along with
free and fast delivery on eligible purchases made on Amazon.
The latest benefit is
aimed at enhancing the value proposition of JioHome plans by combining
high-speed home connectivity with television, OTT entertainment and digital services
under a single offering.
Eligible customers
will be able to claim the benefit through an Amazon Prime Lite offer banner on
the MyJio home page linked to their JioHome account.
Jio said the offer
will be rolled out to eligible users in a phased manner beginning September 19
and continuing over the next two weeks. The complimentary one-year membership
will commence from the date the customer activates the offer.
Customers subscribed to the ₹888, ₹1,199 and 150 Mbps-and-above JioHome plans will continue to receive the existing 24-month Amazon Prime Lite benefit, with no change to their current offer.
The new benefit expands Jio's existing suite of digital and entertainment offerings for home broadband customers, as the company seeks to integrate connectivity and content services into its JioHome plans.
