Reinforcing
its commitment to community welfare and sustainable development, JSW Steel's
Odisha Mining Division has inaugurated a new water kiosk at its Narayanposhi
Mines.
The
facility will provide clean and safe drinking water to local residents, mine
workers, and commuters, addressing a critical need during the peak summer
season.
The
water kiosk was inaugurated by Prasanna Panda, Business Head, JSW Steel Odisha
Mining Division, in the presence of senior company officials and employees.
Strategically designed to benefit the local community and all those passing through the area, the kiosk will help ease access to potable water and reduce dependence on distant water sources. To ensure its long-term sustainability, JSW Steel has committed to regular maintenance of the facility while encouraging active community participation in its upkeep.
The company has also announced plans to establish similar water kiosks at its other mining locations, further strengthening its social responsibility initiatives across the region.
