Loom Solar, one of India’s fastest-growing solar technology manufacturers, has achieved two major milestones by surpassing 1 lakh (100,000) customer installations and securing pan-India vendor registration under the Government of India’s flagship PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

These achievements mark the company’s steady evolution from a rooftop-focused startup founded in 2018 into a nationally recognised, full-spectrum solar solutions provider. Over the past eight years, Loom Solar has built a diverse customer base spanning residential consumers, MSMEs, commercial and industrial establishments, as well as agricultural and institutional segments. Its expanding footprint across urban as well as remote geographies, including regions with limited or unreliable grid infrastructure, highlights the growing relevance of decentralised solar solutions in India’s ongoing energy transition.

With empanelment as an approved vendor across all states on the national portal (pmsuryaghar.gov.in), Loom Solar is now well positioned to directly support homeowners in accessing ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers)-compliant, subsidy-eligible rooftop solar solutions. This integration ensures a seamless end-to-end customer journey by bringing together product selection, installation and access to government financial assistance within a single trusted ecosystem.

The company’s integrated product portfolio includes high-efficiency solar PV modules rated up to 750W, Made-in-India on-grid and hybrid inverters ranging from 3 kW to 50 kW, and lithium-based Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) from 1 kWh residential units to multi-megawatt-hour applications. The solar-plus-storage offering is designed to enhance energy reliability, optimise consumption patterns and deliver strong lifecycle value for a wide spectrum of users.

Amod Anand, Co-Founder & Director, Loom Solar, said: “Crossing the 1 lakh customers milestone reflects the growing trust in Indian solar innovation and our commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance solutions. Our pan-India registration under the PM Surya Ghar portal marks a critical step in simplifying solar adoption — enabling homeowners across the country to seamlessly access ALMM-certified systems along with government subsidies. As India advances towards its clean energy targets, we remain focused on making solar more accessible, efficient, and financially viable for every segment of consumer.”

Aligned with rising demand for high-efficiency rooftop and distributed solar solutions, Loom Solar is setting up a 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing facility, scheduled for commissioning in FY27. The company has remained bootstrapped and consistently profitable since inception, and currently operates two manufacturing facilities and six warehouses across India, supported by a nationwide network of over 10,000 resellers.

With a workforce of around 300 employees, Loom Solar continues to promote inclusive growth, with women accounting for nearly 20–25 percent of its workforce — significantly higher than the prevailing industry average — while advancing its broader mission of accelerating clean energy adoption across the country.
