Luminous Power Technologies has reaffirmed its
long-term commitment to Odisha, positioning the state as a key hub for solar
manufacturing and advanced energy storage solutions, while showcasing its
latest clean energy technologies at a high-profile government event in Khordha.
Highlighting its
growing manufacturing footprint in eastern India, the company presented a
comprehensive portfolio of future-ready energy solutions, underlining its
strategic focus on Odisha as a high-potential centre for renewable energy
innovation and industrial expansion. Backed by progressive policy support,
improving infrastructure, and rising adoption of clean energy, Odisha is
emerging as a critical pillar in Luminous’ long-term growth strategy.
Speaking on the
occasion, Vivek Abrol, CEO & Managing Director, said Odisha represents a
strategically significant market for the company, not only as a manufacturing
base but also as a gateway to India’s rapidly expanding clean energy ecosystem.
He emphasised that sustained investments in the state reflect Luminous’
commitment to supporting India’s energy transition while contributing to local
economic development and resilient power infrastructure.
Over the past few
years, Luminous has made substantial investments in Odisha, with two major
manufacturing facilities currently under advanced stages of development. In
Angul, the company is establishing a next-generation energy storage
manufacturing plant focused on advanced technologies and modern production
capabilities. Simultaneously, a solar cell manufacturing facility is being
developed in Gopalpur to strengthen India’s domestic solar value chain and
accelerate the country’s renewable energy ambitions. Both projects are expected
to become operational soon, marking a significant milestone in the company’s
manufacturing expansion.
At the Khordha event, Luminous showcased its end-to-end solar solutions designed to cater to residential, commercial, and industrial consumers. The comprehensive portfolio includes on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solutions featuring advanced TOPCon bifacial solar panels, high-performance inverters, durable batteries, and the smart Connect X monitoring application. The display reflects the company’s strong focus on innovation, reliability, and sustainability.
With its upcoming facilities in Gopalpur and Angul, Luminous aims to generate local employment, enhance skill development, and support industrial growth, while strengthening India’s renewable energy ecosystem. As the country accelerates its transition towards a low-carbon economy, eastern India is poised to play a pivotal role.
