Mahindra Group has appointed Shveta Arya as its Group Chief
Strategy Officer, effective September 15, 2026, as the conglomerate sharpens
its focus on growth opportunities, value creation and long-term strategic
advantage across its diverse portfolio.
Arya will head the Group Strategy Office and work across
Mahindra’s businesses to identify new growth opportunities, unlock value and
strengthen the group’s long-term competitive position. She will also join the
Group Executive Board and form part of the senior management of Mahindra &
Mahindra Ltd. She will report to Group CEO and Managing Director Anish Shah.
Arya joins Mahindra with more than 23 years of experience
spanning publicly listed multinational companies and management consulting,
with exposure to sectors including automotive, travel, financial services and
telecommunications.
In her most recent role, Arya served as Managing Director of
Cummins India, where she was responsible for driving business growth, customer
success, talent development and workplace culture. Prior to Cummins, she led
Strategy and M&A at Thomas Cook India and held various roles at Kearney and
Infosys.
Her appointment comes as Mahindra continues to strengthen its
group-wide strategic approach across businesses and seek opportunities for
sustainable growth and value creation.
Welcoming Arya to the group, Shah said her experience in
driving growth, shaping strategy and leading organisations through periods of
change would be valuable to Mahindra as it works across its portfolio to
accelerate growth and create long-term value.
Arya holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management
Ahmedabad and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Information Technology from
Delhi University.
