DELHI, SEPTEMBER 15, 2026
Gujarat-based
construction-technology startup MiCoB has secured a Rs 30 crore investment
commitment on entrepreneur Gautam Adani's nationwide grassroots innovation
initiative Vande Bharatam, marking the largest deal recorded on the programme
this season.
The commitment came
on Episode 7 of Vande Bharatam, aired on September 14, from a panel comprising
Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd,
Kalyan Krishnamurthy, CEO of Flipkart, Ashutosh Valani, Co-Founder of RENÉE Cosmetics,
and Rajeev Kalambi, Co-Founder and General Partner at Cactus Partners.
The Rs 30 crore
commitment was jointly offered by Krishnamurthy and Valani. Separately, Karan
Adani offered support for MiCoB's ongoing and future construction projects,
potentially opening avenues for the deployment of the startup's technology
across Adani Group infrastructure.
Founded by Ankita
Sinha, Shashank Shekhar and Rishabh Mathur, MiCoB has developed a full-stack
Digital Construction Manufacturing platform that goes beyond robotic 3D
printing.
Its platform
integrates proprietary printable concrete materials, automated batching,
intelligent mixing and pumping, controlled extrusion, robotic deposition,
digital process planning and quality control into a single coordinated workflow.
The company aims to
transform construction into a controlled, manufacturing-led process, reducing
dependence on conventional formwork and manual site execution while enabling
faster project delivery, lower material wastage and more consistent, scalable
quality.
MiCoB's technology is
already deployed across defence, infrastructure and civil construction
applications, including bunkers, retaining structures, modular buildings,
hospitality structures and industrial components.
The startup positions
itself as a technology and execution partner for large infrastructure groups
seeking to accelerate construction while improving efficiency, material
utilisation and predictability.
"MiCoB is a
clear example of what Vande Bharatam is designed to surface — deep-tech
innovation that's already solving real infrastructure problems on the ground.
Their platform has the potential to change how we build in this country, and
we're glad to back that journey," Karan Adani said.
Krishnamurthy said
the startup's existing deployments across defence, infrastructure and
industrial sites were a key factor behind the investment decision.
"What convinced
us wasn't just the technology — it was seeing MiCoB's platform already deployed
and working across defence, infrastructure and industrial sites. That's rare at
this stage, and it's why we moved quickly to back them," he said.
MiCoB's Rs 30 crore
commitment is the largest single commitment recorded on Vande Bharatam so far
this season and represents the biggest investment deal of its kind in India
across similar platforms, highlighting the growing investor interest in
deep-tech solutions aimed at transforming conventional construction.
The deal also
underscores the potential of advanced construction technologies as India expands
its infrastructure and development footprint, with automation and digital
manufacturing increasingly being explored to address execution time, material
efficiency and scalability.
Vande Bharatam,
launched by Gautam Adani, is a nationwide grassroots innovation movement aimed
at identifying, nurturing and showcasing entrepreneurial talent from across
India's States and Union Territories.
Through a structured selection process, mentorship opportunities and a national finale, the initiative seeks to broaden access to entrepreneurial opportunities and support the next generation of Indian innovators.
The current season will conclude with its Grand Finale on September 17, where winners will compete for a Rs 2 crore cash prize backed by the Adani Group.
