Navratna CPSE National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NLC India Ltd. (NLCIL) to strengthen collaboration in the proposed 1080 MW thermal captive power project and advance renewable energy initiatives.
The MoU was signed at Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu on Saturday, in the
presence of Jagdish Arora, Director (Projects & Technical), NALCO, Prasanna
Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director, NLCIL, along with other
directors of NLCIL.The agreement is aimed at securing NALCO’s captive and long-term power
requirements through a balanced energy mix with a strong focus on
sustainability. It establishes a structured framework for exploring long-term
power tie-ups and coal supply arrangements, while also opening avenues for
future joint project development in both thermal and renewable energy sectors.
