National Aluminium
Company Ltd (NALCO) posted its highest-ever operational performance across key
parameters in FY 2025-26, translating into all-time highs in revenue from
operations, profit before tax and profit after tax, CMD Brijendra Pratap Singh
said on Monday, as the Navratna PSU unveiled an ambitious expansion roadmap to
tap rising domestic aluminium demand.
“The record performance of FY 2025–26 is a
collective achievement. Behind every milestone achieved by NALCO is the
commitment, capability and collective spirit of its people,” Singh said while
addressing shareholders at the company's 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM),
held through video conferencing.
Singh described FY
2025-26 as a landmark year for NALCO, saying the achievements reflected the
company's resilience, strategic foresight and operational excellence, while
reinforcing its role in strengthening India's aluminium value chain and
contributing to the national vision of Aatmanirbhar
Bharat and Viksit Bharat.
During the year under
review, NALCO achieved its highest-ever operational performance across key
parameters. The strong operational showing translated into record financial
results, with the company recording its all-time highest Revenue from
Operations, Profit Before Tax and Profit After Tax.
The year also saw
peak sales in major business segments, including Domestic Alumina and Aluminium
Metal, underscoring NALCO's strong fundamentals, efficient operations and
ability to deliver sustainable value in a dynamic business environment.
Reaffirming its
commitment to creating enduring value for shareholders, NALCO paid an interim
dividend of ₹10.50
per equity share, amounting to ₹1,928.46 crore, during FY 2025-26
in three tranches.
Shareholders at the
45th AGM on Monday also approved a final dividend of ₹1 per equity share, involving a
payout of ₹183.66 crore.
On the future
outlook, Singh said the demand outlook for aluminium in India continues to
remain favourable and is expected to stay on a strong growth trajectory.
The CMD highlighted a
series of expansion initiatives aimed at strengthening NALCO's long-term growth
prospects. These include the 5th Stream Expansion of the Alumina Refinery at
Damanjodi, development of Pottangi Bauxite Mines, augmentation of captive coal
capacity, and the proposed expansion of the Aluminium Smelter and Captive Power
Plant at Anugola.
NALCO is also
pursuing strategic initiatives in critical minerals, resource and energy security,
circular economy, digital transformation, waste-to-wealth and renewable energy,
Singh said.
These initiatives are
aimed at strengthening the company's competitiveness, enhancing operational
resilience and creating sustainable long-term value.
Singh expressed
gratitude to the Government of India, particularly the Ministry of Mines, for
its continued guidance and support. He also acknowledged the cooperation
extended by the Government of Odisha and local administrations in facilitating
NALCO's operations and growth journey.
Highlighting the
importance of community partnerships, Singh placed on record his appreciation
for communities residing around NALCO's operational areas, whose cooperation,
he said, continues to be vital to the company's progress.
He also expressed appreciation for the entire Team NALCO, including employees and the contractual workforce, and thanked shareholders, investors, customers, suppliers, business associates, consultants and Joint Venture partners for their continued confidence and support.
The 45th AGM was chaired by Singh and attended by the company's Functional Directors, an Independent Director, Chief Vigilance Officer, senior officials from the Union Ministry of Mines and the Company Secretary.
